JBiPod is an add-in that is included with Jukebox Synchronizer. It is meant to be used in conjunction with the freeware EphPod. Although EphPod has a "Synchronize" feature it is not true synchronization and often fails to synchronize changes made to mp3 files. JBiPod allows JBSynch to synchronize with an iPod but it cannot currently rebuild the iPod database (iTunes.db). EphPod also has many iPod specific iPod features like "Wipe iPod" and iPod playlist creation features.
Note: EphPod has a "synchronization" feature but it is not a *true* synchronization. For instance EphPod doesn't synchronize files that have been modified (you change the ID3 tags of an mp3 and then expect EphPod to sync the changes, but it doesn't). JBSynch's synchronization is much more powerful.
1) Setup your iPod. For Win-iPod's make sure you run MusicMatch at least once. This will initialize your iPod. For Mac-iPods follow the instructions at www.ephpod.com.
2) Configure JBiPod. Go to the JBiPod config window (Tools|Add-ins) and click "Configuration Wizard." Follow the instructions.
3) Configure the normal JBSynch settings. Check JBSynch Help for more information on these settings.
4) Synchronize!
5) When JBSynch synchronization is complete, load EphPod and "Rebuild" your iPod database.
